Ranch Style Cutting Association

The Ranch Style Cutting Association was created to provide a broader opportunity for cutting enthusiasts across the country.  Not to be seen as an entry-level to organizations such as the NCHA, but rather a casual, educational-based environment dedicated to the promotion of the working cutting horse.  You will notice that our class structure varies a bit from the NCHA, and our participation requirements differ from the Ranch Horse Cutting Association.  We believe that the opportunity to learn to cut a cow, and to compete at the highest level should not be limited only to those who ride registered stock, or to those who ranch for a living.
Ranch Style Cutting is fun, educational and competitive for riders of all ability levels.  Our calendar is full of competitions and clinics to suit everyone's schedule.  Our membership dues are affordable, as are our class entry fees. Come and cut with us for the day, then join us for a lifetime!!

What is "Ranch Style Cutting"?

Ranch Style Cutting IS cutting....... with a few differences.  To compete in RSCA events, you do NOT have to ride a registered horse.  We believe that those good, grade ranch horses out there can cut a cow as good as anything. Heck, they probably spend more time actually putting that skill to use than most show horses do!  Because we encourage the use of "working" or ranch horses, two-handed riding is allowed on any horse, of any age that is being shown in a broken bit.  This opens up our sport to more than just the "drop hand" cutting horse.   Ranch style cutting is still fast-paced, exciting and competitive.....but it's also educational, family oriented and fun!  Come on out to one of our clinics, or spend the day at one of our shows and see for yourself!
